Big Wild Goose Pagoda
The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is located in Da Ci ‘en Temple on the southern outskirts of Xi ‘an City. It is a famous ancient building built in the third year of Yonghui of the Tang Dynasty (AD 652). It has seven floors and a height of 64.5 meters. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda was originally called Cien Temple West yuan Butu (Butu is the meaning of tower). It is a masterpiece of Buddhist architecture art in Tang Dynasty of China. It is regarded as a symbol of the ancient capital Xi ‘an. It is a famous tourist destination in Xi ‘an. According to legend, it is a place where Tang monks specialized in translating and storing sutras after they came back from India (ancient India). It is named Goose Pagoda because it is built in imitation of Indian goose pagoda style.
Xi ‘an City Wall
Xi ‘an City Wall is located in the downtown area of Xi ‘an.
